A Message of Peace

Hi, and thanks for joining me today on a 'Walk of Faith'!

Have you noticed that God specializes in new beginnings; the opportunity to start over and to see things from a new point of view? We're into a new year. Pretty soon, winter will be done and we will begin planting in the spring. A new leadership team is governing in Washington D.C. An in our lives we have the opportunity to 'do over' to start and see things as new in our life, too.

Paul talks about that in the book of 2 Corinthians chapter five verses 16-18, so let me share that with you today:

"From this time on we don't think of anyone as the world thinks of people. It is true that in the past we thought of Christ as the world thinks. But we don't think that way now. When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole new world. The old things are gone and suddenly everything is new. All this is through God and through Christ, God has made peace between himself and us. And God gave us the work of bringing people into peace with him."

So not only does God specialize in new beginnings and new ways of looking at the world around us, but God has commissioned us to be bearers of that message of hope; that we can bring the peace of God through Christ as the heart of our message to a needy and broken world.

I pray that you would join me in that task today and everyday.

God's blessings to you all!

~ Pastor Kerry
