Hang In There

Hi, and thanks for joining me today on a "Walk of Faith"!

I wanted to give you some encouragement from scripture this morning. So, this is a verse from Galatians chapter five, verse one. Hear these words:

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. So stand firm and do not let yourselves be burdened again by the yolk of slavery."

Now it's interesting, in the various translations of this verse, that part that says "stand firm" means to stand strong, to hang in there, to persevere.

We need to hear those words today, in a time when it's all too easy to fall back into the familiar. We've been on a roller coaster ride of adapting to change in recent months and it takes its toll on us for a while. So occasionally we need someone to come alongside us and to say, "Hang in there! You're going to get through to the other side because Christ has made it possible for us to do so."

So I want to encourage you in those same words today. That no matter how tired you are from adjusting to what the new normal looks like, I want you to hang in there. The same God who was around before the pandemic will be with us on the other side and will work his purposes out through this difficult time in which we live.

And I know that together we will grow stronger in Christ as we trust him each day.

Take care and God bless!

~ Pastor Kerry
